Ace Your Exams With These Study Tips Posted 20.03.2023 Exams are fast approaching, and as scary as they may sound, it’s so important to be fully prepared for them so you can do your best. You already know the usual revision tips such as using flashcards and doing past papers, but in this blog, we’ll be going into some other tips that are essential to avoid stress and feeling overwhelmed. Spend Less Time on Your Phone You know the drill, one minute it’s 2pm and you’re scrolling through TikTok, and suddenly it’s 5pm and you’re still scrolling! When it comes to studying, you should set a downtime on your phone so that you aren’t able to access distracting apps within certain hours. Alternatively, leave your phone is a different room or give it to your parents whilst studying so that you’re not tempted to go on it. Don’t worry, you can still go on your phone, but only within your scheduled breaks! This way you’ll have full focus on revision. Get a Good Night's Sleep The key to a successful revision session is getting enough sleep. You’ll feel refreshed and ready to start your day in a better mindset. Try and get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night. However, if you’re not able to get enough sleep, or you’ve just had a bad night’s rest, our Exam & Study Multivitamins pack a punch since they reduce tiredness and boost energy. Don't Leave Revision to the Last Minute You’ve heard this one before, but to reduce revision stress, always make sure you start revising well in advance to exam season. Cramming revision in at the last minute is never a good idea, trust me! You end up feeling super overwhelmed, stressed, and regretting that you didn’t start sooner! Make a Realistic Timetable Another essential revision tip. Make sure to create a revision timetable that is do-able for you. Ensure you allocate enough time to all your subjects, and prioritising those that you need extra study sessions for. Don't try to cram too much into each day, and make sure you allow time for breaks and self-care. Drink Plenty of Water It’s so easy to forget to keep hydrated whilst studying. However, it’s essential to stay hydrated for your brain to function at its best and minimise headaches. Aim to drink at least 2-3 litres of water each day and keep a bottle of water with you during your revision sessions. Get Fresh Air Revision can lead to you being stuck indoors day after day, especially when exam season is just weeks/days away. When planning out a timetable, make sure to add in break slots that require you to go outside, even if it’s for a 20-minute walk. This will help you feel refreshed and re-energized and reduce the risk of feeling burned out or overwhelmed. Take Regular Breaks Taking regular breaks during your revision sessions is essential for maintaining focus and concentration. Aim to take a 10–15-minute break every hour, and use this time to stretch, move around, or do something enjoyable. This will help you recharge your batteries and stay motivated. Eat a Healthy Breakfast Eating a healthy breakfast is essential for starting your day off on the right foot. A nutritious breakfast will provide your body and brain with the fuel they need to function at their best. Aim to eat a breakfast that is high in protein for energy to power you through revision. Don't Forget to Self-Care Finally, it's important to prioritise self-care during your exam preparation. Make time for activities you enjoy, such as reading, watching your favourite series, or just simply taking a long bubble bath and doing some skincare. Our superfruit-powered skincare is great for de-stressing after a long day of revision, and keeping breakouts at bay.
